Compensation Analyst

We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a Compensation Analyst. Use your robust project management and compensation acumen to research, design, develop and implement a Long-Term Incentive Program (LTIP), in collaboration with an outside consulting firm. Work closely with Global Headquarters, executives and HR to recommend solutions to ensure programs are competitively and consistently administered in compliance with all state and federal regulations. We require strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, the talent to scale an evolving compensation structure in a fast-paced ambiguous environment, and the capability to present clear narratives with data to all stakeholders. Required

  • Experience supporting compensation and salary planning initiatives including market research and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compensation project to develop, plan, implement and administer LTIP for organization; manage collaboration with outside consulting firm.
  • Plan and administer established equity programs and stock option grants, including vesting schedules and exercise history.
  • Cooperate with legal, finance, and HR departments to distribute and communicate resources, compliance, grant process, and management reports.
  • Produce reports to Global Corporate Headquarters and provide frequent updates to CEO, CFO and HR.
  • Develop, implement, and administer sales commission and incentive programs to attract and retain talent.
  • Conduct analysis of jobs, hourly wages, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization’s pay practices.
  • Make recommendations regarding salary grades or market rates for specific jobs.
  • Develop and administer compensation scheme, tied to performance review or merit-rating program.
  • Review salary increases with HR for compliance with organization policy and budget.
  • Evaluate compensation programs for internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of the organization’s compensation practices.
  • Review benchmarking and market pricing data to recommend best practice for company compensation program and LTIP.
  • Convert compensation-related data into meaningful narratives for key stakeholders.
  • Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems.
  • Reviews existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation administration and recommends appropriate courses of action.

Qualifications

  • BS Business Administration, HR, Finance or related years of experience, preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in HR Analytics and Compensation.
  • Professional certifications through WorldatWork, such as CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) strongly preferred.
  • Tech industry experience preferred.

Power Systems Application Engineer

Doosan GridTech is actively seeking a Senior Power System Applications Engineer to support our growing Turnkey Energy Storage System (ESS) business. Use your power systems engineering knowledge, vendor management skills and proposal-grade design background to provide technical applications support for Turnkey EPC proposals and contract projects which deploy storage solutions with Utilities and IPP customers who are incorporating distributed energy resources into the grid. Required

  • Strong power system engineering skills
  • Experience working on utility-scale energy storage system (ESS) projects, and power systems engineering projects and product design.
  • Experience working on large scale commercial solar PV projects.
  • Experience working in the construction industry.
  • Experience with power system modelling, valuation of distributed energy resources and cost benefit analysis.
  • Ability to handle diverse range of projects independently or with limited supervision.
  • Ability to work in dynamic and rapidly changing environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Understanding of energy storage system functions and stacked applications with utility-driven perspective on how functions can create value

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Sales team and the technical project management team to identify customer technical specifications during the proposal phase of a bid cycle
  • Develop and manage ESS solution design tool by collaborating with internal and external teams; Propose competitive ESS solution based on each RFP requirements
  • Lead the engineering integration of components (batteries, inverters, transformers, switchgear etc.) that result in Doosan’s turnkey ESS offering; Drive updates and continuous improvement into Doosan’s designs
  • Support bankability analysis of potential vendor partners with an emphasis on technical capability
  • Build Doosan’s ESS technology roadmap by performing technical due diligence of products and systems
  • Manage vendor/supplier relationships to deliver customer value
  • Evaluate product and systems risk during proposal and post-award phase; once a project is awarded support Project Managers in the transition to project delivery

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ demonstrated experience in electrical power system engineering
  • Experience working on utility scale electrical power system projects or distributed energy resource projects is strongly preferred
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related electrical power systems field with 7+ years’ direct engineering experience within an electric utility or MS in Electrical Engineering or related electrical power systems field with 4 + years’ direct engineering experience
  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) in any state desired

Responsibilities

  • Lead the engineering design of megawatt-scale energy storage systems, including electrical system design, utility interconnection design, installation and testing plan design, and control system integration.
  • Manage engineering service sub-contractors and component vendors to contribute to the overall design of energy storage systems.
  • Create and coordinate the delivery and quality assurance of key engineering drawings and reports. Manage the PE certification process for electrical design drawings.
  • Provide engineering support for component solicitations including the evaluation of power conversion systems and battery systems from multiple vendors.
  • Author customer-facing documents to help them implement energy storage designs (e.g. installation plans).
  • Work with others in Doosan GridTech to identify design and performance improvements in Doosan GridTech’s delivered systems.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years demonstrated experience in electrical power system engineering. Experience on utility electrical power system projects or distributed energy resource projects is strongly preferred.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related electrical power systems field with 5+ years of direct engineering experience within an electric utility or MS in Electrical Engineering or related electrical power systems field with 2+ years of direct engineering experience.
  • Certification as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) in any state desired.

Use your financial planning and analysis skills to support project development leads in originating and transacting technology sales. Reporting to C&I Program Director, this energy analyst position is responsible for performing energy and financial modeling in support of Doosan’s C&I project development and sales. You will be modeling different energy storage and generation technology, performing project level financial analysis, risk analysis, and developing deal terms. For this critical new role, we require outstanding quantitative and financial analysis skills, strong financial modelling experience, and the ability to drive continuous process improvement. Responsibilities

  • Support Doosan GridTech leadership by building and maintaining complex financial models, budgets, and analytic tools for measuring and forecasting business unit results and project performance.
  • Build and maintain project financial models to support C&I project development.
  • Develop project level Pro Forma to drive deal terms.
  • Research and build knowledge of energy storage and renewable generation trends, markets, and regulations.
  • Run competitive analyses on technology relative to competitors.
  • Support deal leads throughout the transaction and execution process.
  • Attend customer meetings and conferences when required.
  • 10-20% travel (inclusive of local travel for customer meetings).
  • Perform financial analysis on cash flow, operating results, and business plans to determine rates of return, capital/cash flow requirements, etc.
  • Prepare forecasts and analysis on economic trends for the industry.
  • Conduct comparable analysis and market research to support internal financial analysis.
  • Interface with and coordinate internally across Sales, Software Engineering, Product Management, Power Engineering, and Project Delivery departments, and other stakeholders, where required.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years’ experience in engineering, finance, or sales analysis role.
  • High proficiency with Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • BS in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Economics, Business or other analytical field.
  • Masters/MBA a plus.
