Description

Doosan GridTech® currently has an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced Software Engineering Program Manager to join our growing North American team. The Software Engineering Program Manager will directly collaborate with the product, engineering, and software teams. The incumbent will leverage the full spectrum of software engineering and project management Best Practices to influence Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process development and adoption of core DevSecOps practice which drive sustainability, scalability, security, and quality in the design, development, test, deployment, delivery, and maintenance of critical energy resource software solutions. The incumbent will manage software backlog, identify & mitigate system risks, coordinate software release schedules, drive modernization of architecture & structure, leverage ML/AI/Digital Twin Modelling to improve solution performance, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams. Intellectual curiosity and a hunger for pragmatic learning and applying data-driven problem-solving, along with practical understanding of Scaled Agile, Waterfall, and Scrum methodologies are inherent to success in this role.


This role will be embedded within Engineering Organization and will orchestrate efficient development, productization, and integration of Doosan GridTech® software solutions and services solutions into the global digital distributed grid. 

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering or Cyber Security 

  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience with Enterprise/Control Systems, DevOps or Software Product Management. 

  • Experience with DevSecOps tools and technologies. 

  • Experience with Embedded Controls Systems Hardware/Operating Systems preferred 

  • Experience with Hardware-in-Loop or Digital Twin Simulation; Matlab or Typhoon preferred 

  • CISSP, PMP, or equivalent preferred 

  • Strong technical and non-technical communication skills 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance 

  • Ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary development environment

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Doosan GridTech® teams to drive their goals, tasks, and deliverables to meet the technical and business objectives, mitigate technical debt and ensure compliance with global Cyber Security Requirements for critical infrastructure 

  • Strategically plan and manage critical programs of various sizes and complexity to drive efficiency, security, and innovation 

  • Leverage collaboration and agile leadership to facilitate development, documentation and execution of improvements and new processes supporting Software Best Practices 

  • Coach team members in DevSecOps practices and tools 

  • Partner with internal and external teams to embed modeling and testing activities into the DevSecOps and SDLC practices 

  • Use data-driven success criteria to manage and improve DevSecOps and SDLC practices 

  • Manages program costs and forecast to budget 

  • Maintain currency with industry trends, best practices and methodologies and tools, and emerging technologies in IoT, cloud computing, and cyber security
